Privacy policy

This policy explains what Paylux does with the information you share when you apply for a loan or contact us.

Information we collect

When you apply for a loan we collect your name, date of birth, phone number, email address, residential and business address, employment or business details, bank account details, BVN, NIN, collateral information and the documents you upload (passport photograph and government-issued ID).

How we use your information

We use your information to verify your identity, assess affordability and eligibility, decide on your application, disburse funds, manage repayment, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations in Nigeria.

Sharing your information

We share data only with parties that help us deliver the service — identity verification providers, banks and payment processors, credit bureaux, and professional advisers. We never sell your personal data.

Storage and security

Documents and application data are stored encrypted, with access restricted to authorised Paylux staff. Uploaded KYC documents are kept in a private store and can only be opened through short-lived, signed links.

How long we keep data

We keep application and repayment records for as long as required by Nigerian law and legitimate business needs, after which records are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, request corrections, ask us to delete data we no longer need, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. We respond within one business day where possible.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your light or dark theme, and understand how the website is used. No advertising trackers are used.
